This topsail schooner is based on a late 18th century coasting schooner of the same name, which was captured by the British and used as a launch and support vessel in Antigua. This replica will be a good example of combining tradition design with modern materials, the construction being a composite "sheathed strip plank" approach. The result will be a vessel of somewhat easier maintenance and operation, and an improved stability over the original. Her owner plans to retire aboard full-time with his family.
